Observatory of Local SSE Policies

The Observatory of Local SSE Policies invites local authorities and all associated stakeholders to write inspiring notes on impactful Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) policies implemented in their territories.

CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS

Are you a local authority or do you work in close collaboration with one?

Have you implemented an impactful SSE policy in your territory? Do you wish to give your actions international visibility and inspire other territories around the world?

The GSEF invites you to submit a contribution for the first edition of its Observatory of Local SSE Policies.

The Focus?

We are looking for concrete case studies highlighting the sectoral, cross-cutting, and innovative dynamics of local SSE policies. Whether it is a global strategy, a specific mechanism, or a pilot project, your experience matters.

The Writing Guide

This ready-to-use document is the mandatory support you must complete to structure your note easily.

 Download the Template

Once your note is written (between 10,000 and 15,000 characters, including spaces), please send it to: observatory@gsef-net.org.

Formatting Guidelines:

  • The note must be drafted using the "Writing Template" (see above).
  • All acronyms must be spelled out upon first use, either in the text or in a footnote
  • Bibliographic references must be placed in footnotes.
  • Every illustration must include a caption (title, author, date). All photos or other illustrations can be sent separately in a source file.

Submission Modalities:

  • Email Subject Line: Please strictly use the following subject line: AAC - GSEF Observatory - [Name of your local authority].

File Format: Submitted files must be in Word or OpenOffice/LibreOffice Writer format.
  • Authorship: Notes are written directly by local authorities. Each territory is free to engage partners of its choice based on its own resources and needs.
  • Signature/Portage: la note doit être endossée à un niveau politique. Elle nécessite la signature officielle de la collectivité concernée. Des aménagements exceptionnels peuvent être envisagés (à discuter directement avec l’équipe de l’Observatoire).

A Peer-Review Committee conducts an initial review of the article, specifying any desired modifications or additions to the author. Once agreement is reached on a final version, the document undergoes a final internal check focusing solely on formatting before being sent for publication.

Submission and publication are free of charge. All published articles are available in Open Access.
