Summary

The following presentation explores the definition of social innovation and how social innovation became crucial in attempting to solve many inequalities found in Seoul, ROK. Seoul has its share of ever-present inequalities found in lots of other big cities in the world, such as discrimination, poverty, and so on. Seoul's social innovation strategies tackle this age-old problem and attempt to solve it using fresh, unique methods. Numerous examples of actual implementation cases are present, but at the same time, many limitations of Seoul's innovation strategies are also acknowledged, underscored, and possible ways to overcome these limitations are also presented.
