Solidarity Economy Organization in Developing Countries

14th April 2021 (Wed) 14:00-15:30 PM YouTube LIVE

The number of on-site admissions to this event is limited for preventing

:

Starting from 14th April 14:00 PM, the ‘Performance Report of COVID-19 Program for Supporting SSE
Organization in Developing Countries’ will be held on both YouTube LIVE(at KOICA Channel) and
Community House Masil(in Myung Dong).

As the global spread of COVID-19 began in earnest last year, the economic impact on Third World was expected to be prolonged due to a sharp
decline in consumption in developed countries and paralysis of trade systems among countries. In order to secure sustainability through restoring the reduced productivity of SSE organizations in developing countries due to COVID-19, we have implemented ‘COVID-19 Program for
Supporting SSE Organization in Developing Countries’ by supporting Third World grassroots production organization connected to domestic SSE and community organizations operating in the field of fair trade and international development along with providing labor costs, rents, and
industrialization costs so that alternative production systems can be operated for those organizations suffered directly or indirectly from the
impact of COVID-19.  So, we have co-organized a performance report with domestic partner organizations to share the main achievements and
outstanding cases of this project which selectively supported a total of 36 organizations throughout the world, focusing on
restoration of productivity, preservation of jobs, and contribution to the community.
