Announcement of GSEF2020 postponement

GSEF would like to announce the postponement of the 5th Global Social Economy Forum in Mexico City. Originally planned for October 2020, it will be held next year in 2021. Exact dates will be shared soon.

This year, as preparatory sessions, GSEF, together with the Local Organizing Committee of GSEF2021 Mexico City, will hold a series of webinars from May to September, as well as a virtual forum during the month of October. These will serve to illustrate the major impacts of COVID-19 on our societies and economies, and the creative actions undertaken by local governments and SSE stakeholders in the fight against COVID-19.

GSEF believes in the transformative power of SSE ecosystems and co-creation of public policies by local governments together with SSE actors to mitigate the economic crisis and inequalities deepened and accelerated by COVID-19. We need to identify collective and innovative ways to address these issues, and those experiences and attempts shared for inspiration and replication in other cities and countries.

GSEF invites all of you to join our discussions.

More details and invitations to GSEF webinars will be shared soon on GSEF's website
